Getting you to Main Street in Salado.....
From Dallas - drive time = 2 1/2 hours:
- I-35 South through West, Waco, Temple, and Belton
- Continue on I-35 South to Exit #285
- Exit #285 on to service road
- Take your first left turn to go back under the highway
- Go through one stop sign - putting you on Main Street
From Downtown Houston - drive time = 3 - 3 1/2 hours
There are many different ways to get to Salado from Houston. We find these
directions the easiest or look at your map and take the back roads!
- Take 290 West
- Go through Cypress and Waller to Brenham
- Take Highway 36/190 North towards Cameron
- Take Hwy 36/190 in to Temple - this will take you to I-35
- Take I-35 South towards Belton/Salado
- Exit #285 on to service road in Salado
- Take your first left turn to go back under the highway
- Go through one stop sign - putting you on Main Street
From Austin - drive time = 45 minutes
- I-35 North through Pflugerville, Round Rock and Georgetown
- Continue on I-35 to Exit #284
- Exit #284/Thomas Arnold Road on to service road
- Go to the stop sign and turn right (there will be an Exxon on your right
hand side)
- Go to the stop sign and turn left - putting you on Main Street
Once you are in Salado......
Driving and Parking
while in Salado:
- At The Pennington's, please DO NOT block any part of the driveway, you
may pull straight on to the grass, provided it has not been raining
- Please do not park in front of the garage doors on the pavement at The Pennington's
- The speed limit is 30 MPH in Salado, but we suggest going slower through town because of numerous pedestrians and animals
- Please make sure you car pool everywhere around Salado! Parking space is
extremely limited.
The Pennington's and the Training Center
- Is located on Van Bibber Lane off
of Main Street, here's how to get there....
- From Main Street you will turn East on to Van Bibber next to the red brick Civic Center
- The house/office is on your right side past the black fence - look for all the red
cars, the barn, flagpole and windmill!
- The Guest Quarters are underneath the ADTS® office!
Brambley Hedge
- Is located off of I-35 and Holland Road/FM 2268
- From the north or south - take exit #283 and turn east on to Holland Road/FM 2268
- Go about .09 miles
- Brambley Hedge is set back off of the road on your left hand side - you can't miss it!
- The room is on the side of the building
La Quinta
Coming from the North:
- Off I-35 - take the Adams exit
- Go across the bridge and get back on the service road
- You will go through 2 stoplights
- La Quinta on Right
Coming from the South:
- Off I-35 - take the Adams exit
- The service road splits, take the service rd to the Left
- You will go through 2 stoplights
- La Quinta on Right
Friendship House
- Drive down Main St. cross over the bridge; turn left on to Royal St then left on the Center Circle (2nd entrance)
- Friendship House is located down the road and on the left
Salado Creek Guest Cottage
- Once on Main St. turn left on to Salado Plaza Rd. (it is right behind Brookshire Brothers)
- Go over the bridge and up the hill, Salado Creek Guest Cottage is to the
right
Stagecoach Inn
- Drive south on Main St.
- Stagecoach Inn is located on Main by the creek across from Royal St.
