Summer Camp Scholarships
For those individual students that plan to attend a Team Camp, Officer Camp or Private Camp (at their school), that is presented byAmerican Dance/Drill Team, are eligible to apply for a scholarship in the amount of $100.00 per student, to offset the cost of their American Dance/Drill Team summer camp fees.
The student must write a one page, double spaced letter explaining why they are deserving to receive the scholarship, as well as their passion for dance and their future plans after high school. The letter must also include the following:
• Student Name and grade level for the fall
• Student e-mail (or other) contact information
• Name of School & Team name
• Director name and e-mail
• Camp that scholarship is to be applied (Team Camp, Officer Camp, Private Camp)
*Scholarships cannot be offered to individual Jazz Camps and cannot be offered in addition to other scholarships offered by American (solo winner scholarships).
Deadline for scholarship applications is June 1st. The applicant's team (or officers) must be currently pre-registered for camp (or have contract for private camp) before the scholarship can be considered. There is a limited number of scholarship money available so make sure to get scholarship essays in promptly with the required information.
