The organization is comprised of the most prestigious companies within the dance/drill team industry that are privately owned and operated. These companies have a combined total of over 130 years of experience in the dance/drill team industry. 

They are all members of Dance/Drill Team Directors of America, Texas Dance/Drill Team Educators as well as over 12 other state associations.

The company owners are renowned and respected leaders within the industry receiving honors such as Lifetime Achievement, Honorary Lifetime Members, Hall of Fame and other distinguished recognition within the industry. The companies are American Dance/Drill Team®, Just for Kix, Marching Auxiliaries/MA Dance, ShowMakers of America®, ShowTime International, and Starmakers Dance and Performance Camps.

 

The purpose of this organization is to better communicate the needs of the dance/drill team industry and to monitor the quality and standards that will lead the industry. NCDTC helps to conform contest rules and regulations and entry divisions so that they will be the same from company to company. They hold conferences several times annually to discuss the needs of summer camp training, ethical codes of conduct at contests, benefit professional dance/drill team associations and to further the dance/drill team cause.

The NCDTC also officially supports En Croix, the fellowship for Christian dancers through promotional materials and scholarships.
